PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am currently a PhD candidate at the Radboud University within the Radboud Institute for Culture and History (RICH). I have a MSc in Conservation from the University of Gothenburg and a BA in Restoration from XAMK. Since working in in various architectural restoration projects, I have oriented myself in the digital conservation and heritage field. Currently I analyse the opportunities and challenges of implementing digital technology, such as XR, within Heritage related to Nazi Persecution.
I have gained lots of experience in different fields and can use this versatile knowledge as my advantage when taking on new quests. Continue reading to find out more of my skills and background.

PERSONAL PROFILE
I’m a Finnish restoration-conservation and heritage professional based in Nijmegen, the Nethderlands. My career focuses on protecting historically and culturally valuable heritage through in-depth academic research and introducing novel methods. I like to apply the experience and skills I’ve obtained in my work-life and studies in all the work I do. I'm artistic, patient and possess a strong eye for detail: in my research I am curious and highly analytical.

My PhD at the Department of Modern Language and Cultures project focuses on evaluating and comparing the effectiveness of online and on-site virtual user interfaces for educating Heritage related to Nazi Persecution (HNP) while maintaining a stakeholder approach. This collaborative research project of the Donders Institute’s SPECS Laboratory and Radboud Institute for Culture and History is part of MEMORISE, a project funded by the EU, which aims to preserve and present HNP in the post-witness era. After graduation in spring of 2019 I was employed by Restaurointimaalaus MIMOS Oy to work on several restoration projects including several projects in the Suomenlinna UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cygnaeus Gallery and Sinebrychoff Art Museum in Helsinki. I have had to opportunity to work for Restaurointiosuuskunta Kymen Karmiini on three occasions: summer 2017 as a trainee and summer 2018 and autumn 2019 as an employee in building restoration. I worked with various projects such as President Svinhufvud's home museum Kotkaniemi, St. Nicholas Church of Kotka, Lyytikkälä house museum and Loviisa library, which you can find out more about in my portfolio.
