THEATRE SET PIECE

As the third year project of my restoration studies I focused on theatre set piece from the community house of Verla. The set piece, or coulisse, is painted on a cardboard surface with a wooden frame. My project included a history study of Verla factory area, material analysis of the set piece, documentation, damage analysis, several restoration tests and a restoration plan. Then, separately of my research project, I completed the restoration work of the set piece as an internship. The project was very interesting and I got to learn a lot about various materials and restoration techniques. The results turned out well and my client was very pleased with the result.
